Lisa Einheuser was a standout distance runner for MSU in track and cross country from 1983 to 1985 under Bears' head coach Jeff Berryessa. Einheuser set school records in the indoor mile run and the 5K distance in cross country. She was the MSU Women's Scholar-Athlete in 1986 and the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Decade. She was seventh individually in the conference meet in 1984. She was on a record-setting indoor distance relay team and won a number of additional academic awards during her career at MSU.
