Cindy Wilson
Basketball-Golf 1975-79

A health and physical education graduate from Missouri State, Cindy Wilson was a four-year standout on the golf and basketball teams and won the A.J McDonald Award in 1979. Upon graduating, Wilson was named an ROTC distinguishing military graduate and commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S Army. She completed U.S Army helicopter flight school with honors and was assigned to the 56th Aviation Company. Wilson worked at various times as Observation Helicopter Section Leader, Motor Officer and Rifle Range Officer in Mannheim Germany.Â
Wilson remained active in sports while on duty as she participated with the Mannheim women's basketball team, softball team and the raft race team. In 1981, Wilson was promoted to 1st Lieutenant and returned to the U.S in 1983 as a civilian.Â
