Dr. Bruce Johnson

Dr. Johnson's role as Faculty Athletics Representative saw him chair meetings of the MSU Faculty Athletics Committee and he represented Missouri State at Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA meetings and conventions, including serving as chair of many committees and boards on both the league and national levels. Dr. Johnson earned his bachelor's and doctorate degrees from the University of Missouri and his master's degree from Iowa State University. A retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Army, he was part of the 2014 induction into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame of the 1999 MSU NCAA men's basketball Sweet 16 team; was selected for the MSU Wall of Fame in 2017; and in 2016 had an MSU outstanding scholar-athlete award established in his name.
