Football, 1994-97
Inducted 2010

Jeremy Hoog played for the football Bears of coaches Jesse Branch and Del Miller from 1994 to 1997 and was a rare four-year Missouri State starter at the quarterback position. During his time as the Bears' signal-caller, Hoog set school career records for offensive plays run (1,314), total yards gained on offense (7,326), pass attempts (1,042), pass completions (569), yards gained passing (6,959) and 200-yard passing games (18), and he tied the career record for touchdown passes thrown (36). Hoog's career .546 pass completion percentage is among the Bears' all-time top 10 in that department, and he passed for over 2,100 yards each of his final two seasons with the team. Hoog threw for 200 yards in a game three times as a freshman, four times his sophomore year, five times as a junior and six times when he was a senior. A native of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Hoog's best single game passing effort was 375 yards against Liberty during the 1994 season and he threw for over 300 yards in a single game four times in his career. In addition to his career records, he owns multiple spots in the top 10 listings of season records in virutally all the Bears' passing and total offense categories. Hoog completed 20 or more passes in eight different games in his career, with top efforts of 26 vs. UNI as a junior and 25 vs. Liberty his freshman year. He also rushed for 367 yards and 11 touchdowns over his four seasons. Hoog passed for multiple TDs in a game 11 times, and his lone career game with three TD passes came at UNI his junior season. He guided the Bears to a 7-4 record and a runner-up spot in the Missouri Valley Football Conference as a junior in the team's best season effort during his time at the quarterback spot. Hoog was voted the Bears' Most Valuable Player on offense as a sophomore and as a senior and served as a team co-captain his junior and senior seasons. Hoog now lives in Bloomsdale, Mo., and works as a senior research technician at the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis.
