TINA KRAMOS
Softball, 1991-95

Tina Kramos was a four-year softball regular as the shortstop for the Bears of Coach Holly Hesse from 1991 to 1995. A native of Overland Park, Kansas, Kramos earned all-Missouri Valley Conference honors as a junior and senior. After getting into 47 of 48 MSUÂ games as a freshman, Kramos was injured in the third game of the 1992 season and missed the rest of the campaign as MSUÂ went on to win a league title. After hitting .319 the next season and driving in a career-high 30 runs for the Bears, Kramos hit .314 and led MSUÂ with 28 runs scored and five stolen bases as a junior in 1994. As a senior, she set an MSUÂ single season record for assists (152), and finished with the career assists record (487) while batting .300. Kramos ranks fourth in MSUÂ career runs scored (94), fourth in triples (11) and sixth in RBIs (73). She posted a .300 career batting mark for MSUÂ over 197 games with 175 hits. As a junior, Kramos was on arguably the best team in MSUÂ Division I softball history, a banner 38-13 campaign in 1994. The Bears won the MVC regular season crown and just missed adding the league tournament title with a runner-up MVC finish. After her playing days at MSU, Kramos entered the coaching ranks with three years at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, followed by three years on the softball staff at Nicholls State University, and then moved to the staff at Illinois State University. She has also continued her career as an active player. Kramos was selected to the Greek National Softball Team in 2002 and has been named to the Greek Olympic softball team which competed in the 2004 Olympic games in Athens, Greece.
