DR. NANCY CURRY

Dr. Nancy L. Curry was a 29-year member of Missouri State University faculty. During that time, she played a vital role in developing the intramural program, coached field hockey and track and field, and recruited a number of student athletes to Missouri State. Curry received her B.S. (1962) and master’s (1964) from Emporia State and her Ph. D. in physical education from Southern California in 1975. Curry, who joined the MSU faculty in 1967, coached field hockey in the 1970’s. Her 1975 team was 13-6-1 and was second in the MAIAW Tournament and placed third in the Region IV AIAW Tournament. In 1976, Curry was the assistant track coach and was responsible for the pentathalon and all field events.
