MSU Athletics Hall of Fame
Allison Zeller swam on the first three MSU Missouri Valley Conference team champions as the MSU women began a dominance of the league title that has reached 18 crowns in 21 years through the 2021 conference championship meet. Zeller specialized in the backstroke and she earned 11 league titles in individual or relay events for coach Jack Steck's squads in a four-year career that ran from 2003 to 2007, including participation in a number of record-setting performances as the MSU women began their long dominance of the MVC.
A native of Manchester, Mo., Zeller was a four-time all-MVC pick and received MVC Scholar-Athlete honors twice. She was in on a fourth straight MVC title in record time in the 200-yard medley relay as a senior, won three MVC titles in the 100-yard back and one at 200 yards. She was among MSU honorees for the MVC all-centennial team in 2007. Zeller lives in St. Louis and teaches physical education in the Parkway School District.
