ELDO PERRY
Football, 1961-64
Inducted October 28, 1978

Eldo Perry came to Missouri StateĀ from East St. Louis, Illinois, and was a four-year letterman in football from 1961 through 1964 for Coach Orville Pottenger. He was a standout blocker at offensive guard and a fierce tackler on defense from a linebacker position. Perry, the brother of standout running back Cornelius Perry, was a member of the 1963 team which went undefeated through the nine game of the regular season. The Bruins of that year gave Missouri StateĀ its first MIAA title in a dozen seasons and then lost the post-season Mineral Water Bowl game to Northern Illinois University. Perry was named to the all MIAA second team one year and was a two-time pick to the all-conference first team. He was also the Bears' co-captain as a senior.
