A product of St. Francis Borgia High in Washington, Mo., Hackmann was the Missouri Valley Conference Libero of the Year and MVC Defensive Player of Year during her playing days. She set a Missouri State record for career digs, was a two-time MVC all-conference and academic all-conference selection, won all-district honors twice, and was the Most Valuable Player in the 2008 MVC tournament. A co-captain for the Bears as a junior and senior, Hackmann holds the MSU single-match hitting percentage record, collecting 15 kills without an attack error vs. IPFW on 9/12/08. MSU posted a cumulative record of 90-41 during her four seasons.
