One of the best field hockey players in school history, Becky Geers competed at Missouri State for four seasons under the guideance of three coaches, including fellow inductee Dr. Rhonda Ridinger. Geers started at fullback for the Bears and also played two seasons each of volleyball and softball. In 1974, Geers was a member of the Bears’ AIAW National Champion softball team, coached by Kay Hunter. Following graduation, Geers taught and coached at the high school level before moving into administration and eventually becoming executive director of the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
