JENNIFER SEVELAND BOX
Volleyball, 1979-82
Inducted May 7, 1990

Jennifer Seveland was a four-year volleyball standout for coach Linda Dollar's Bears from 1979 to 1982 as Dollar's MSU teams rolled to win totals of 36, 41, 47 and 35 in Seveland's four seasons. That tenure include three consecutive AIAW state championships, three regional crowns, and places in three AIAW Division I national meets, including a fifth-place finish in 1981 when Seveland was a junior. Seveland served as the team captain for Dollar's club in 1982 as a senior. Seveland set school career records for hitting percentage, blocks per game, matches, block assists, total blocks and solo blocks, and she had a number of single season marks as well. Seveland was an AIAW All-American in 1981, a three-time all-region selection, and a CoSIDA first team Academic All-American in 1982, the first MSU volleyballer to be so honored.
