2016 Track & Field
Indoor: Competed in six meets… Finished third in the mile (5:23.15) and aided the distance medley relay in a second-place finish (12:52.40) in freshman debut at the Bob Timmons Challenge (Dec. 4)… Turned in a season-best performance in the mile (5:09.50) at the Arkansas Invitational (Jan. 15)… Paced the Bears in the 3,000-meter run at the Pittsburg State Invitational (Jan. 29) with a season-best time of 10:28.65 and helped the distance medley relay to a fourth-place finish (12:33.87)… Clocked in a mile time of 5:15.70 at the prestigious Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational (Feb. 5-6)… Helped the distance medley relay to a regular season-best time of 12:17.69 at the Gorilla Classic (Feb. 12-13)… Finished season at conference championships (Feb. 27-28) competing in the 3,000-meter run (10:37.65) and the distance medley relay (12:04.56).
Georgia Richardson: Competed in one meet… Broke the school record in the pole vault in her first attempt in the event all season at the MVC Indoor Track and Field Championships (Feb. 27-28) after clearing 3.41 meters… Now holds the indoor and outdoor pole vault MSU school records.

Outdoor: Competed in seven meets… Opened the season competing in the 1,500-meter run (4:57.98) at the Arkansas Spring Invitational (March 26)… Won the 1,500-meter run (4:58.55) at the Margaret Simmons Invitational (April 1)… Clocked in a personal best time of 4:47.01 in the 1,500-meter run at the Gibson Invitational (April 9)… Traveled to the Tom Botts Invitational (April 16) and finished fifth in her first steeplechase (11:49.04)… Continued season at the Missouri State Invitational (April 22) finishing second in the 1,500-meter run (4:49.83) and third in the 3,000-meter run (11:01.83)… Finished second in the steeplechase (12:05.63) at the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational (April 29)... Concluded freshman campaign in the steeplechase (12:09.28) at the MVC Outdoor Championships (May 13-15).

Background: Ran cross country and participated in track and field under the direction of Jeremy Goddard at Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Mo.... Lettered in all years participated... Ran the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and was a member of the 4x400 and 4x800 relays on her track team... Took home many honors throughout her career... Had a stellar senior year taking home individual conference, district, and sectional champion... Was the only female state qualifier at Kickapoo High as a junior.

Personal: Jade Raynor was born May 5 in Springfield, Mo.... Daughter of Jim and Brenda Raynor... Mother participated in cross country and track and field at MSU... Has three brothers: Trey, Josh, and Jack.
