2021-22 Track and Field
Indoor: Competed in four meets for the Bears... Earned a spot on the podium in long jump at the MVC Indoor Championships, finishing third with a jump of 5.63 meters... Raced a season-high 60-meter time of 7.94 seconds at the Gorilla Classic... Earned season-best marks in the 400-meter (56.44) and long jump (5.69m) at the Arkansas Qualifier where she finished third in the latter... Ended the indoor season with the second-best long jump mark in the conference... Made the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for her efforts during the Fall 2021 semester.
Outdoor: Competed in six meets for MSU... Appeared in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash and long jump for the Bears... Earned a fifth-place finish at the Rock Chalk Classic in long jump, reaching a distance of 5.52 meters... Raced season-best sprint times 26.49 seconds (200m) and 1:01.82 (400m) seconds at the Bearcat Invitational and Arkansas Twilight... Jumped to a season-best long jump distance of 5.63 at the MVC Outdoor Championships.
2017-21 (Southwest Baptist)
Attended Southwest Baptist University from 2017-21... Earned several top-three finishes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference... Recorded personal bests of 7.54 (60M), 12.16 (100M) 24.81 (200M), 55.81 (400M), and 6.10-meters (long jump).
High School
Competed on the track & field team all four years at West Aurora High School... Won the 400-meter dash during her junior year of high school... Helped her senior year 4X1 team to a seveth place finish at state.

Tamia Rayford was born in Naperville, Ill. on Feb. 8, 1999... Daughter of LaToia Sweezer... Has two brothers, Antonio and Antwone and one sister, Jadae... Plans to earn her Masters degree in Professional Studies at Missouri State.
