MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll: Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Fall 2022

2022-23 Track and Field
Indoor: Competed in seven indoor meets for the Bears... Primarily raced in the 60-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dash... Also was a mainstay in MSU’s 4x400-meter relay team... Raced lifetime bests in the 60-meter (7.68 seconds) and the 200-meter (24.89 seconds) at the Washburn Open & Multi and the Arkansas Qualifier, respectively... Recorded an indoor 400-meter time of 58.96 on Jan. 28... Part of a 4x400-meter relay that placed fifth at the MVC Indoor Championships (3:50.53). 

Outdoor: Competed in six of the Bears’ seven outdoor meets during her 2022-23 campaign...  Earned lifetime bests in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dash... Raced a time of 12.18 seconds in the 100-meter at the Gorilla Classic... Turned out a lifetime best 200-meter time of 24.56 at the prestigious Bryan Clay Invitational eclipsing her former top time by over a full second... Raced her top 400-meter time of her career at the SBU Bearcat Invitational (57.03 seconds)… Competed on both the 4x400-meter relay and 4x100-meter relay teams including the latter which finished fifth at the MVC Outdoor Championships (46.20 seconds). 

2021-22 Track and Field 
Indoor: Competed in four meets in her collegiate debut... Appeared in the MVC Indoor Championships in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash... Ran season-best times in both events at the championships clocking a time of 25.05 seconds in the 200-meter and a time of 58.41 in the 400-meter... Also competed in the 60-meter dash, recording a season-best time of 7.88 in the 60-meter at the Gorilla Classic (Feb. 11).  

Outdoor: Appeared in every meet for the Bears in her outdoor-season debut... Earned two second place finishes in the in the first outdoor meet of the season... Raced a time of 12.33 in the 100-meter and a 200-meter time of 26.43 at the Billiken Invitational... Clocked a season-high time of 12.16 in the 100-meter at the MVC Championships... Raced her best 200m time at the John McDonnel Invitational on April 8 (25.94) … Also appeared in the 400-meter dash for MSU in three meets. 

High School
Competed in track & field at North Delta Secondary School... Placed second in the 200-meter at the BCHS Track & Field Championships her sophomore year of high school... Was named the 2019 MVP and track & field athlete of the year her sophomore year as well.

Personal
Charity Obazughanmwen was born on Dec. 2, 2003 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada... Daughter of Uyi and Blessing Obazughanmwen... Has one brother, Victor, and two sisters, Faith and Loveth... Undecided on her major.
