T&F Bears Make Their Mark in CUSA Championships
May 15, 2026 | Women's Track & Field
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Missouri State track and field closed the 2026 Conference USA Outdoor Championships with a seventh-place team finish Saturday at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.
Missouri State totaled 57.5 points over three days of competition, with scoring efforts spread across the sprints, distance races, hurdles, jumps, relays and multi-events. Podium finishes from Olivia Rogers, BreAna Garrett and Shiloh Cross led the Bears' championship weekend, while several personal-best performances helped Missouri State stay in the team race throughout the meet.
"This team battled so hard all weekend and I'm so proud of their effort," head coach Jordan Fife said. "In just a few short months, we went from 10th at the indoor championship to battling for 4th all meet long. We came up just short of that goal but we're proving we have what it takes to compete in this conference and we feel like we're closing that gap.
