Background:
Marita Tyler joins Missouri State after four years of swimming with Webb City High School in Webb City, Mo., where she specialized in freestyle events. At the Southwest Conference Tri-Meet her senior year, Tyler placed third in the 500 free and 200 free relay. She also added a fourth-place finish in the 200 IM. In her junior campaign, she placed fourth in th 200 free at the conference meet. Tyler served as team captain in her final year. Personal: Full name is Marita Tyler. Born October 8, 1985, in Pittsburg, Kansas. Daughter of Greg and Denise Tyler.
