At MSU: A midterm transfer from Coastal Carolina University, Brent Madawick participated in the spring season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Background: Madawick played in five matches during the 2005 season for Coastal Carolina, as the Chanticleers won the Big South Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. As a prepster at Neuqua Valley High School, Madawick helped lead his team to the state championship as a junior and earned first-team all-conference, all-city, and all-area honors. The Wildcats won a school-record 28 matches and finished the season ranked 10th nationally by the NSCAA. Madawick missed his senior season with a knee injury. He was also a member of the Chicago Magic club team that won two state championships and was a national finalist in 2003. Madawick also played with the regional Olympic Development Team for two years. Personal: Brentonio Stephen Madawick is the son of Steve and Becky Madawick. He was born Oct. 26, 1986, in St. Louis, Mo.
