2013: Drake appeared in 37 games for MSU as a junior, batting .400 (2-for-5) as a pinch hitter...Posted a perfect fielding percentage, while recording a pair of outfield assists...Went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored March 3 vs. Northwestern State...Reached base safely in four straight contests Feb. 23-March 5...Started each of the Bears[apos] last four games of the season in right field, going 1-for-3 vs. Evansville (May 23) in MSU[apos]s season-ending loss in the MVC Tournament. 2012: Saw action in 43 games for the Bears as a sophomore, including 18 starts in the MSU outfield...Batted .333 (8-for-24) and slugged .500 in MVC play...Hit by pitch four times to rank third on the club...Doubled for the first time in 2012 to drive home the game-winning RBI in a 10-4 victory over Illinois State (April 14); also stole a base and scored to help MSU wrap up its two-game sweep of the Redbirds...Recorded his second outfield assist of the season April 22 at Wichita State...Went 3-for-3 with a walk during the Bears[apos] three-game series with SIU, April 27-29...Went 2-for-3 and hit the go-ahead two-run homer in the eighth inning of the Bears[apos] 7-5 win at Indiana State on May 18...Collected hits in three of his six at-bats in MSU[apos]s three-game series with Indiana State (May 17-19).

2011: Played in 27 games with eight starts (six in left field and two at DH) as a freshman...Posted first career hit was a two-run homer against North Dakota (March 6)...Hit .290 and scored nine runs in 31 at-bats...Went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored against Wichita State (April 8)...Went 2-for-4 in the previous game at Kansas (April 5) in his first career start in left field...Was successful in his lone stolen base attempt of the year, May 3 against Missouri...Batted a team-best .349 for the Joplin Outlaws in the summer, driving in 11 runs, scoring 14 and stealing five bases in 30 games.

Background: Drake was a baseball, football and basketball standout at Webb City High, starting for a team that finished at least third in state in all three sports during his prep career...Led the Cardinals to a runner-up finish in the 2010 Class 4 playoffs, batting .333 with 14 RBIs as an all-district, all-conference and all-Ozarks pick...Hit .378 with 21 RBIs as a junior, earning first-team all-area and all-conference honors, and was first-team all-conference as a sophomore as Webb City finish second in the Class 3 state playoffs...Played quarterback and defensive back for the Cardinal football team that won the state title his junior year and made the semifinals his senior campaign...Helped the Cardinals to a third-place state finish in basketball as a sophomore...Played for the Midwest Nationals in the summer of 2010, leading the club with a .406 average.
