DALLAS – Missouri State track and field closed out the day at the SMU Invitational with a handful of strong performances in Dallas on Saturday.
 
Missouri State dominated the 3000-meter steeplechase. Ella Cronhardt earned her third win in the event with a personal record of 10:43.98. Five Bears entered the race, and they swept the top-5 spots, each earning a personal record. Adrien Martens finished in second place with a time of 10:53.97. Emily Nuttal followed in third with a time of 10:59.65. Mary Margaret Harris and Addysen Clark rounded out the pack in fourth and fifth with times of 11:01.91 and 11:29.10, respectively.
 
Reagan Reedy put MoState on top to start the day. The junior from Rolla, Mo. earned her second event win in a row with an attempt of 40.45 meters.
 
Tabitha Fox won the 1500-meter run with a personal record of 4:33.44. Mirabella Redman won the second heat of the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.07. Due to an equipment error on the track, the times from the first heat did not count in the race.
 
The Bears secured 23 total personal records during the one-day meet.
 
Missouri State has a busy week ahead to prepare for the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship. The Bears will host the MoState Twilight on Thursday, May 8. Throwing events will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Parkview High School. Track events and the rest of the field events will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Allison South Stadium. The following day, the Bears will head to familiar territory for the Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville, Ark. on Friday, May 9.
