DALLAS, Texas - Missouri State track and field put together one of its strongest late-season outings of the outdoor campaign at the SMU Invitational, earning three event victories and adding six marks to the program's all-time top-10 list at Washburne Track and Field Stadium.
The two-day meet began Friday evening before continuing Saturday with the bulk of Missouri State's entries, including the steeplechase, relays, sprints, middle-distance races and field events. MSU picked up wins in the 4x100-meter relay, 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000-meter run while collecting personal bests throughout the weekend.
"The momentum just hasn't stopped," said head coach
Jordan Fife. "We're in a great place two weeks out from conference. It's been big-time performance after big-time performance, and everyone wants in on the action."
Ella Cronhardt delivered one of the top performances of the meet, breaking the school record in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:22.89. She also moved to No. 8 all-time in the 800-meter run, clocking a personal-best 2:09.22 to take third.
"Ella is building quite a resume right now to be one of the all-time greats at Missouri State," Fife said.
Mary Margaret Harris also climbed the record book in the 1,500-meter run, finishing fifth with a personal-best time of 4:26.43. Her performance ranks third all-time at Missouri State.
Olivia Rogers continued her standout outdoor season in the sprints, taking second in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of 11.50. The mark is tied for seventh all-time in program history. Rogers also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash, crossing in 23.99.
Missouri State opened the relay events with a win in the 4x100-meter relay, as
Kayleigh Jenkins,
Delaney Weimer,
Brianna Howard and Rogers crossed first in a season-best 44.91.
The Bears also earned two top-five finishes in the 4x400-meter relay.

Claire Farrell,
Raegan Foster and
BreAna Garrett placed third in 3:42.79, while
Jordyn Buckley,
Rakiya Lang,
Barrett Jackson and
Cheria Galbreath finished fifth in 3:49.25.
Farrell paced Missouri State in the 400-meter dash, taking fourth in 54.68. Buckley followed in seventh with a personal-best time of 55.16, while Farrington placed eighth in 55.60. Foster added another PR, finishing 10th in 55.85.
In the 200-meter dash, Weimer took 10th in 24.58, with Farrell close behind in 11th at 24.67. Buckley crossed 13th in 24.80, followed by Farrington in 14th with a personal-best 24.89.
The Bears continued to produce strong marks in the middle-distance events following Cronhardt's lead.
Kaitlyn Hatley notched a personal best in the 800-meter run, finishing sixth in 2:11.85. Harris placed seventh in 2:12.86, while
Abby Meyer followed in eighth at 2:12.87.
Raegan Schnurbusch also recorded a personal best with a time of 2:18.29.
Missouri State added several more PRs in the 1,500-meter run behind Cronhardt and Harris.

Adrien Martens gave Missouri State another event win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, taking first with a personal-best time of 10:42.34. The mark moved Martens to No. 10 all-time in program history. Rew finished third with a personal-best 10:55.28, while Nuttall placed fourth in 11:00.14.
The Bears swept the top three spots in the 5,000-meter run, led by
Riley Bryan's winning time of 17:12.98. The personal-best mark ranks No. 10 all-time at Missouri State. Gotfredson finished second with a personal-best 17:13.62, while Moore placed third with a personal-best 17:22.10.
Garrett led Missouri State in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 1:01.80. Galbreath followed in eighth at 1:02.59, while
Mirabella Redman placed 18th in 1:04.40. Galbreath also competed in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing 17th in 14.69.
In the field events,
Shiloh Cross took fifth in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 12.31 meters and added a 5.52-meter effort in the long jump. Jenkins led the Bears in the high jump, clearing 1.60 meters to finish sixth.
Missouri State also had three top-eight marks in the javelin throw.
Tommi Martin recorded the Bears' top finish, placing fourth at 41.24 meters.
Sadie McCulloh followed in seventh at 37.63 meters, while
Brooklynn O'Cain finished eighth at 37.18 meters.
The Bears return to action Friday, May 8, when they travel back to Fayetteville for the Arkansas Twilight.
