SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State track and field heads back to Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday, April 24, for the John McDonnell Invitational.
The meet marks the Bears' second trip to Fayetteville this outdoor season and will feature a 37-team field that includes No. 9 Arkansas on the women's side, along with Kansas, Illinois State and Lamar. Missouri State enters the weekend coming off a productive day at home at the Mo State Invitational, where the Bears posted multiple event wins, personal bests and a pair of facility records.
Keeping Track of the Bears
•
Olivia Rogers continued her standout outdoor season in the sprints, finishing second in the 100-meter dash at the Mo State Invitational with a personal-best 11.40. Rogers now ranks first in Conference USA in the event and 26th in the NCAA West Region.
• Missouri State showed strong sprint depth at the home meet, with
Brianna Howard placing fourth in the 100-meter dash in a personal-best 11.58, while
Shackera Douglas and
Rakiya Lang also turned in personal-best efforts at 11.73 and 11.86, respectively. In the 200-meter dash,
Claire Farrell and
Jordyn Buckley led the way with personal-best marks of 24.15 and 24.28, while Howard, Douglas,
Barrett Jackson and
Seleena Morris also added PRs.
• The Bears were sharp in the relay events, setting a new facility record in the 4x100-meter relay as
Kayleigh Jenkins,
Delaney Weimer, Farrell and Rogers crossed first in 45.03. Missouri State also won the 4x400-meter relay, with
Whitney Farrington, Farrell,
Raegan Foster and
BreAna Garrett finishing in 3:45.11.

Ella Cronhardt highlighted the middle-distance group by winning the 800-meter run in a facility-record 2:10.70, while
Mary Margaret Harris followed with a personal-best 2:12.11 to place third.
Abby Meyer added a fourth-place finish, and Cronhardt also owns a strong 1,500-meter mark this season after placing second in the invitational section at the Arkansas Spring Invitational in 4:30.04.
• The distance crew turned in another strong showing at the Mo State Invitational, led by
Ella Rew's win in the 1,500-meter run in 4:44.89 and
Madilyn Moore's title in the 3,000-meter run in 10:33.63.
Emily Nuttall and
Adrien Martens followed Moore in second and third, giving the Bears three of the top four finishers in the event.

BreAna Garrett led Missouri State in the hurdles with a win in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:00.93, while
Cheria Galbreath placed second in a personal-best 1:02.46. Galbreath also recorded a personal-best 14.41 in the 100-meter hurdles.
• In the field events,
Shiloh Cross continued her strong season by winning the triple jump with a personal-best 12.10 meters and placing second in the long jump with another personal-best mark of 5.60 meters.
Brooklynn O'Cain led the Bears in the javelin with a fifth-place finish at 39.05 meters, while
Bessie Swoboda added a personal-best 33.55 meters.
