Indoor: Competed in all seven meets in the indoor season ... Finished sixth in the 400-meter dash at the MVC Indoor Championship with a time of 56.30 for a personal record ... Set a personal record in the 200-meter dash at the Gorilla Classic (2/9-2/10/24) with a time of 25.73.

Outdoor: Appeared in six meets for the Bears ... Placed fifth in the 400-meter dash at the MVC Outdoor Championship (5/10-5/12/24) with a time of 55.49 and a personal record ... Set a personal record to open the season at the Springfield Showdown (3/22/24) with a time of 24.96 and a third-place finish ... Finished second in the 400-meter dash at the SBU Bearcat Invitational (3/30/24) with a time of 57.55 ... Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete team ... Received CSC Academic All-District Honors.

2022-23 Track and Field
Indoor: Appeared in four meets during her inaugural indoor campaign for the Bears... Competed in sprints in middle distance racing in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash... Raced a season-best 200-meter time of 26:36 at the Washburn Open & Multi... Recorded a time of 1:00.01 in the 400-meter dash at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Jan. 28... Named to the fall 2022 MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. 

Outdoor: Competed in three meets during her freshman outdoor campaign... Raced in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dash for the Bears... Clocked a season-best 400-meter time at the Bearcat Invitational where she finished 10th. 

Background
Joins the Bears from Lee’s Summit, Mo., after attending Lee’s Summit West High School... Ran track and field all four years of high school for the Titans... Helped team to a second-place finish at in Class 5 State... Earned varisty letters every year in high school... Ran the 100m (12.35), 200m (25.23) and 400m (57.16) her senior year and was a four-time All-American for her efforts. 

Personal
Whitney Farrington was born on Oct. 17, 2003, in Overland Park, Kan... Daughter of Whit Farrington and Laura Brandt, stepdaughter of Eric Brandt and Melissa Farrington... Has three brothers, Noah Brandt and Trevor and Shawn Farrington and two sisters, Katie and Kara Farrington... Plans to major in Kinesiology at MSU.
