Track and Field Bears Win Multiple Events at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Missouri State track and field wrapped up its second trip to Arkansas with a handful of event wins at the John McDonnell Invitational on Friday.
 
Ella Cronhardt got the day started with a Bears win in the second event of the day. The sophomore won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:51.79 to set a personal record. Cronhardt eclipsed the second-place finisher by approximately nine seconds. It was the sophomore's second steeplechase win so far this season.
 
Olivia Rogers earned her first win of the outdoor season in the 100-meter dash. Rogers won the event with a time of 11.60 seconds, just .007 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
 
Meghan Halstead secured another win for the Bears on the track in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.49 seconds. The senior from St. Louis recorded a personal best in the race and secured her second win in the event this season.
 
Reagan Reedy was the final win of the day for the Bears in the javelin. The junior did not compete in the 2024 outdoor season but has made an impact since returning to competition. Reedy secured the win with a personal record attempt of 45.65 meters. The Bears swept the podium of the javelin with Tommi Martin's personal record attempt of 43.35 meters and Jaide Rose's attempt of 39.49 meters.
 
MoState recorded 19 personal records during the invitational.
 
The Bears will head out of their longest road trip of the season for their next meet at the SMU Invitational hosted in Dallas on Saturday, May 3.
