COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri State track and field's
Ella Cronhardt broke a school record at the Bob Teel Invitational on Saturday.

Cronhardt finished the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:53.40. Her time beats Edna Dar's 2:55.05 set in 2022. Cronhardt also won the race with approximately eight seconds between her and the second-place finisher.

The Lee's Summit, Mo. native wasn't done after that. Later, Cronhardt also won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:14.47, just .05 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

Olivia Rogers earned her first win of the season in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.58. She also finished the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.75.

In the 3,000-meter run, five Bears finished in the top 10. Freshman
Elsa Henry took second with a time of 10:18.06 and
Lena Singleton took third with a time of 10:24.98.
Britta Foust finished in fifth with a time of 10:29.63, ahead of
Grace Buschling and
Amy Gotfredson who finished in seventh and eighth with times of 10:34.60 and 10:35.74, respectively.

The Bears ended the day with three event wins, 13 top-five finishes and 26 top-10 finishes.

"Overall, there was a lot of progress and breakthrough from last week," head coach
Jordan Fife said. "We know it's still early in the season, but it's exciting to hit some good marks at this stage."

Missouri State will travel to a meet it knows very well for its first two-day meet of the season. The Washburn Open and Multis will take place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 in Topeka, Kan.
