Track and Field Bears Add Two More Wins at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – The Missouri State track and field team recorded two more first-place finishes on the final day of the John Jacobs College Invitational hosted by Oklahoma on Saturday.

Mary Margaret Harris led the way in the 1500-meter run with a personal record of 4:42.78. Ella Cronhardt was close behind with a third-place finish and a time of 4:47.33. Tabitha Fox finished in fourth with a time of 4:48.31.

In the 3000-meter steeplechase, Margo Nea was the first across the line. The senior finished the race with a time of 11:26.60. Emily Nuttall was the only other Bear to compete in the event. She finished in third with a time of 12:06.09.

The Bears wrapped up day two with 13 appearances in the top-10 and 10 new personal records.

"It was a very productive day overall with a couple of wins by Mary Margaret and Margo and several other lifetime and season bests," head coach Jordan Fife said. "It was good to be at a meet like this and be competitive in all the events.

The Bears will continue the season on Thursday and Friday at the John McDonnell Invitational hosted by Arkansas.
