Season Statistics

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State freshman Hayden Moore hit a walk-off single and the Bears tallied all three of their runs with two out in the ninth inning for a 3-2 victory over Missouri Tuesday evening in front of 2,007 fans at Hammons Field.

Down 2-0 entering the ninth after six Bears pitchers combined to hold the Tigers (22-16) to just a two-run homer in the sixth, the Missouri State (18-18) offense came alive with Drake Baldwin drawing a leadoff walk to start the rally.

With one out, Dakota Kotowski got an infield single that was overturned by replay after initially ruled an out, and Mason Hull was hit by a pitch to load the bases with two out. Jaden Rolffs jumped on the first pitch from MU's Ian Lohse (1-2) for a tying two-run single, and Moore sent an 0-2 pitch to the warning track in left that Mizzou's outfielders were unable to track down for the dramatic win.

Ty Buckner pitched a scoreless inning in the start for the Bears, Dan Merrill followed by striking out five in four scoreless frames, MU scored two on Eric Loomis in the sixth, and Forrest Barnes, Trey Ziegenbein and Jake McMahill (1-1) shut the Tigers down the final three frames.
