2023 (Senior)/Career Summary
Started 48 games his senior season and batted .243 with nine homers, 30 RBI and 18 extra-base hits...Ranked second in the MVC with 42 walks, which tied for 10th on MSU’s single season list and boosted his on-base percentage to .419...Hit a walk-off home run on April 20 against Belmont for his fifth career walk-off hit...Swatted the winning home run at Southern Illinois (May 13) in the top of the 12th, his second career go-ahead homer in the ninth inning or later in addition to the walk-off winners...Hit his third career grand slam on March 5 at Arkansas State, tying seven other MSU players for the career lead in that category...Completed his time at MSU with 30 home runs, 41 doubles, four triples, 119 RBI, 132 runs scored and 172 hits in 198 games with 189 starts.
2022 (Senior)
Started 52 games and hit .282 with 15 homers and 50 RBIs...Ranked sixth in the MVC in home runs, sixth in doubles with 18, and 10th in RBI...Won MVC Player of the Week after the season’s opening weekend with three home runs and 10 RBI at Central Arkansas (Feb. 18-20)...Hit a grand slam on Feb. 27 against Cal Poly...Had his second multi-homer game of the season against Southern Illinois in the MVC Tournament (May 25)...Hit the go-ahead homer in the ninth inning of MSU’s 8-7 victory against Grand Canyon in the NCAA Regional (June 4)...Slugged .574 with a .353 on-base percentage and stellar .969 mark in the field...Scored 48 runs on the year...Tallied 18 multi-hit games, and had multiple hits in an inning on three occasions...Drove in at least two runs in 15 contests including a pair of five-RBI games...Season high of four hits, with two doubles, came May 13 against Illinois State...Led the Bears with 134 assists and tied for the team high with 33 extra-base hits.
2021 (Junior)
Joined the starting lineup at second base in early April and proceeded to hit a team-best .313, make the MVC All-Defensive Team, and be voted MSU’s A.E. “Ted” Willis Team MVP...Collected three walk-off hits, doing so with singles against Bradley (April 2) and Indiana State (May 7) and a double versus Valparaiso (May 21)...Logged a .982 fielding percentage with two errors in 112 chances, bumping that to .989 with one error in 91 MVC opportunities...Hit .351 in Valley games, slugging .506 with six extra-base hits...Went 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI against Indiana State (May 7)...Had multiple hits in 10 games...Scored twice in the win at Missouri (April 13) and 13 times on the year...Slugged .444 for the full season with a .384 on-base percentage...Played in 32 total games with 26 starts.
2020 (Sophomore)
Made 13 starts at shortstop as a sophomore, hitting .170 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored ... Struck out just seven times, second-fewest among MSU regulars ... Hit safely in four consecutive games from Feb. 15-21.
2019 (Freshman)
Hull burst onto the scene with a solid rookie season, making 50 starts on the Bears’ infield while solidifying the bottom third of the MSU batting order ... Led the Bears and ranked 10th in the MVC in assists (124); assisted on 36 double plays, which was tied for second among all Valley defenders ... Fielded at a .965 clip over the Bears’ final 32 games (March 29-May 23), handling 137 of 142 chances cleanly ... Registered six multi-hit and multi-RBI performances ... Doubled against Utah (Feb. 16) for his first collegiate hit as part of the Bears’ first victory of the season ... Delivered two-run doubles against San Diego (Feb. 23) and Central Arkansas (Feb. 26); scored three runs and drove in three runs in the two-game series sweep of UCA ... Recorded his first two-hit game at Arkansas State (March 10), going 2-for-3 with two runs scored ... Clubbed his first two home runs as a Bear at Murray State (April 3), including a go-ahead, three-run blast in the sixth inning that put the Bears on top to stay; drove in a career-best five runs in the 15-10 victory ... Homered and drove in three runs at Southern Illinois (April 6) to help lock up a series-clinching win over the Salukis ... Enjoyed a breakout senior season for Effingham (Ill.) High School, hitting .571 with seven homers and 37 RBI in just 28 games to earn first-team all-state honors, as well as USA Today Illinois All-America recognition...Batted .349 with three homers and 26 RBI to earn second-team All-Apollo Conference recognition as a junior in 2017...Hit .366 as a sophomore for the Flaming Hearts and picked up Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All-America honorable mention laurels...Ranked as the No. 5 Illinois prep shortstop in the class of 2018, according to Prep Baseball Report.
