
MSU Hosts Drury in Homecoming Showdown

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State swimming and diving team welcomes cross-town rival Drury for its annual homecoming meet at Hammons Student Center Friday (Oct. 19), beginning with the diving competition at 4:30 p.m., followed by the swimming competition at 6:00 p.m.

Bear Bites
- Ashley Yarbrough was named Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week after a phenomenal performance against Big 12-member Kansas and South Dakota. Her 258.8 points helped her remain undefeated against Kansas and qualified her for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
- Libby Howell and Josie Pearson each posted individual victories in the double duel in Lawrence last weekend.
- The men's team cruised to a 259-94 win over South Dakota at the double duel. Artur Osvath was the Bears top finisher, taking victories in the 200 butterfly and 200 IM. Blair Bish, Bryce Blattner, and Lucas Paloschi also earned individual titles.
- Both the men and women' swimming and diving programs earned the most votes in their respective preseason conference polls. The men garnered the top spot in the Mid-American Conference preseason poll with four first-place votes and 24 points overall, while the women were unanimously chosen as the MVC favorite by the league's coaches with eight first-place votes, totaling 64 points overall.
