2021-22 Season (Junior)
Appeared in all eight meets … Honorable Mention All-MVC honoree … Placed sixth in the 100 backstroke (55.68) and 15^th in the 100 freestyle (52.40) at the MVC Championships (Feb. 16-19) … Posted three top-three finishes and four top-five finishes on the season.


2020-21 Season (Sophomore)
Appeared in all five meets… Finished 20th in the 50 freestyle (24.26) and 24th in the 100 freestyle (53.79) at the MVC Championships (April 14-16)… Swam a season-best time in the 100 freestyle (52.75) and 100 backstroke (57.00) at Mizzou on Feb. 28… Posted four top-five times throughout the season.

2019-20 Season (Freshman)
Received All-MVC first team laurels…Collected gold medals as part of 200 and 400 freestyle relay team at MVC Championship…Made another championship podium appearance in the 50 freestyle with a seventh-place finish…Recorded first career win as a Bear in 100 free race versus Evansville in home finale (January 11)…Posted first relay win in 400 freestyle and pair of second-place times in 50 and 100 free versus SIU (November 9)…Started MSU career with a top-10 time in 50 free at the Show-Me Showdown (October 4).

Background
Named River City Aquatics (RCA) Outstanding Female Swimmer during her junior campaign, Amelung broke several records while swimming with RCA including the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle, and the 50 and 100 backstroke. She also held all the top times in the RCA relays as a sophomore. Placed in the Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am, Region VIII Speedo Spring Sectionals, and was a finalist in the NCSA 50 backstroke.
