At Missouri State: Paradise will be a vital part of the Bears[apos] offense this season as a starter at forward. 2009: Paradise made an immediate impact on the Bears[apos] offense, tallying his first goal at MSU in just the second match of the season against UMKC (9/5). Two games later, he recorded a game-winning assist on Heath Melugin[apos]s goal vs. Centenary (La.) (9/16). On Sept. 27, he scored the game-winning goal at SMU (9/27). He notched his second game-winning assist on David Buckenheimer[apos]s goal vs. Denver (10/1). He scored a goal in the fourth minute of the Bears[apos] 3-1 win over Oral Roberts (10/14). Paradise scored two goals, including the game-winner, against Bradley (10/24) to earn MVC Offensive Player of the Week honors and was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week. He started all 19 matches and took a team-high 35 shots. He earned All-MVC honorable mention and NSCAA/Performance Suburu All-Midwest Region third team honors. Background: Paradise joined the Bears after playing two seasons for West Virginia University. In his two seasons with the Mountaineers, he started and lettered as a forward, finishing his two seasons with a 19-14-8 combined record. Paradise attended Plum High in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he was a four-year starter and letterman for the Mustangs as a forward and midfielder. Personal: Paul Jackson Paradise is the son of Joe and Joy Paradise. He was born on Dec. 21, 1988, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is majoring in accounting at Missouri State.
