COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri State Women's Track & Field delivered a strong overall performance Friday at the Show-Me Showdown, highlighted by multiple event victories, a relay win and consistent top-eight finishes across the sprints, distance and field events at the University of Missouri.
Junior
Olivia Rogers led the Bears on the track with an individual victory in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line first in 7.52. Missouri State placed five athletes inside the top eight of the event, with
Delaney Weimer finishing fourth (7.63),
Kayleigh Jenkins sixth (7.68),
Sydney Ward seventh (7.71) and
Brianna Howard eighth (7.74).
Rogers added another podium performance in the 200 meters, earning third in 24.39. Jenkins followed in seventh (25.32), while Ward placed eighth (25.34) and Weimer rounded out the top 10 in 25.42.
In the 400-meter dash, the Bears placed four athletes inside the top eight, led by
BreAna Garrett and
Claire Farrell, who finished third and fourth, respectively, both clocking 56.60.
Whitney Farrington added a seventh-place finish (57.56), with
Jordyn Buckley close behind in eighth (57.70).
Missouri State's distance group turned in one of the meet's strongest showings in the mile, where
Ella Cronhardt captured the event title in 5:01.53. The Bears added depth behind her with
Emilee Brusselers placing third (5:12.90),
Faith Fotiades fifth (5:16.45),
Kaitlyn Hatley sixth (5:18.83),
Adrien Martens seventh (5:21.94) and
Emily Nuttall eighth (5:32.28).
Abby Meyer also secured a podium finish in the 800 meters, placing third with a time of 2:16.44.
Several Bears posted personal-best performances across the meet. Meyer recorded a personal record in the 800 meters, while
Tommi Martin registered a PR in the shot put. In the field events,
Sadie McCulloh notched a personal-best performance in the high jump. On the track,
Amy Gotfredson,
Addysen Clark and
Madilyn Moore all delivered personal-best efforts in the 3,000 meters, highlighting continued growth across the roster.
The Bears closed the day on the track with a victory in the 4x400-meter relay, as the team of Garrett, Farrington, Buckley and Farrell claimed first in 3:48.42. Missouri State also produced additional top-eight relay finishes with a fourth-place group (3:55.35) and a seventh-place effort (4:03.61).
In the field events, freshman
Shiloh Cross continued her impressive indoor debut by winning the triple jump with a mark of 12.07 meters. Jenkins added a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.62 meters, while Bella Redman recorded a top-10 showing in the long jump with a ninth-place leap of 5.19 meters.

Jordan Fife said. "There's definitely some work to be done, but I think overall we're ahead of where we were a year ago at this meet."
Missouri State will continue its indoor season with a split-squad approach, as the Bears compete at the Washburn Open & Multis on Jan. 30–31, while the remainder of the team travels to the Pittsburg State Invitational on Jan. 31.
