SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State track and field earned seven event wins during the MoState Twilight, the lone home event for the Bears during the outdoor season.
 
Both relay teams earned wins by a significant margin. The 4x100-meter relay team of Kayleigh Jenkins, Olivia Rogers, Brianna Howard and Rakiya Lang won the relay with a time of 45.61, 2.19 seconds ahead of the team from Evangel. In the 4x400-meter relay, Raegan Foster, Katie Griffin, Abby Meyer, and Raegan Schnurbusch beat Drury with a time of 4:02.84, approximately 24 seconds and 100-meters ahead of their opponent.
 
Three freshmen earned wins in their Allison South Stadium debuts. BreAna Garrett won the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.47. Elsa Henry won the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:50.10 and Cheria Galbreath won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.79.
 
A Bears win was guaranteed in the 3000-meter run. All 13 participants were repping the maroon and white. Ella Cronhardt won the race with a time of 10:08.74 for her first win in that event during this outdoor season.
 
The solo field win for the Bears came courtesy of Jordan Drum in the pole vault. Drum's personal record of 3.43 meters earned her a tie with Evangel's Abby Beets.
 
The Bears time in the Missouri Valley Conference is winding down with the Outdoor Championship rapidly approaching. Southern Illinois will host the meet on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18.
