Keeping Track of the Bears
- The Missouri State Track and Field team is back in action at the John Jacobs College Invitational hosted by Oklahoma on Friday and Saturday. Action starts at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
- Thirty-two teams from across all levels of competition will compete in the invitational. Thirty-seven Bears will make the trip to Oklahoma.
- The last time the Bears visited this invitational was in 2022 when the Bears were able to bring home a pair of second-place finishes.
- The Bears are currently ranked 29th in the Midwest region by USTFCCA. Conference opponents Drake and UIC are both ranked below the Bears at 31st and 37th, respectively.
- Missouri State has several athletes ranked in the top-five in the conference.
- 100-meter Dash – No. 5 Olivia Rogers (11.84 | 3/22/24)
- 200-meter Dash – No. 2 Olivia Rogers (24.23 | 3/22/24)
- 400-meter Hurdles – No. 3 Meghan Halstead (1:02.37 | 3/22/24)
- 4x400-meter Relay – No. 3 Olivia Rogers, Seleena Morris, Victory Ifah, Whitney Farrington (3:47.83 | 3/30/24)
- Javelin – No. 3 Cheyenne White (43.22m | 3/22/24)
- MoState took last weekend off for some rest after finishing second out of 16 teams at the SBU Bearcat Invitational the weekend prior (Mar. 30). The Bears earned 152.50 points in the meet.
- Riley Bryan recorded her first first-place finish at SBU with a career best 17:39.96 in the 5000-meter run. Meghan Halstead also recorded a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.79
- The Bears also recorded seven second-place finishes and six third-place finishes with 37 personal records.
