Indoor: Competed in three meets... Recorded a season-best one-mile time of 5:56.34 in her first appearance of her freshman campaign (Jan. 21)… Clocked a time of 11:29.62 at the Gorilla Classic in the 3,000-meter run... Named to the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during her first semester as a Bear. 

Outdoor: Appeared in four meets for MSU during her outdoor campaign... Competed in the 1,500-meter, 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter... Raced a season-best 1,500-meter time of 5:26.42 in the first meet of the season... Finished 10th in the 5,000-meter run at the Billiken Invitational... Ran a season-best 3,000-meter time of 11:37.95 at the Bearcat Invitational (April 1-2). 

High School
Voelker was a multi-year starter in both track and cross country at Eureka High School... Helped her teams to multipe top-three finishes during her four years in high school... Made academic all-state two straight years... A recipient of the superintendent award her senior year.

Kayla Voelker was born on Nov. 6, 2002 in St. Louis, Missouri... Daughter of Justin and Kim Voelker... Has one sister, Julia... Her major is undecided.
