2021-22: Suffered a season-ending knee injury against Toledo (Dec. 21) just 11 games into the season…Named MVC Player of the Week the first three weeks of the season, becoming the third player in MVC history to win three consecutive player of the week honors to open a season…Placed on the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year preseason and midseason watch list and was voted preseason All-MVC…Recorded a team-leading eight double-doubles and nine double-figure rebound games…Was pacing the team with 14.9 points and 12.1 rebounds per game on .538 shooting from the field at the time of her injury…Before sustaining her injury, Franklin ranked in the top six nationally in rebounds per game (12.1) and double-doubles (8), while ranking fourth in defensive boards per game (8.8) and 11th in total rebounds (133)… Recorded a career high 19 rebounds at Oklahoma State (Nov. 17), which ranks fourth for a single game in MSU program history.

Background: Franklin helped Fayetteville High to a combined 97-11 record and two Arkansas Class 7A state championships in her four seasons...Picked up all-state honors for a second consecutive season as a senior, shooting 63 percent from the field with averages of 9.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.5 blocks per game...Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Year as a junior after helping the Lady Bulldogs to a 30-2 record and No. 10 national ranking...Led her team in rebounding (8.1/game), blocks (41) and field goal percentage (.642), including making 85 percent of her shots in the fourth quarter....Also earned all-state honors from three publications her junior year...Led FHS with 6.0 rebounds per game, 28 blocks and 65 percent shooting as a sophomore, earning Democrat-Gazette Newcomer of the Year and all-conference honors for a state tournament quarterfinal team...Fayetteville High also won a state championship in her freshman season...Four-time all-state honoree in track and field, winning the state championship in the shot put four times and adding discus titles as a junior and senior.
