Appeared in all nine swim meets…Placed third in the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:19.49), third in the 100-yard freestyle (49.44), fourth in the 400-yard medley relay (3:39.84), fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:31.81), fifth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:21.12), eighth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.21) and 18th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.63) at the MVC Championships (Feb. 26-March 1)...Placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:21.66), third in the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:25.54), fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (50.19), fifth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:32.34), 14th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.64) and 18th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.85) at the House of Champions Invitational (Nov. 21-23)...Won three individual events all at different freestyle distances…Team fastest time in 100-yard freestyle (49.44) was third-fastest individual time in MVC…Named All-MVC First Team.

Swam in all 10 meets…Placed 11th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:34.85), 12th in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:26.88), 13th in the 400-yard medley relay (3:46.62), 13th in the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.28), 24th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.71), 25th in the 100-yard freestyle (51.36) and 27th in the 50-yard freestyle (23.81) at the Purdue Invitational (Nov. 16-18)...Recorded nine top-five individual finishes.

Background
As a senior, Kurre won the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle at the high school state meet…In the 100-yard freestyle she broke the state record in prelims and then reset the state record in finals...Kurre placed first in state in the 100-yard freestyle, setting the Class 1 record (51.38) as a junior...She also grabbed first place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.79) at state in her junior season...As a sophomore, Kurre placed second in the 100 free and third in the 200 free at state, while winning the 100 free and recording third place in the 200 free as a freshman.
