Background
Ailshire made his way to Springfield as a transfer from Auburn University where he swam for one year…Attended Lee’s Summit West High school…During his freshman year he came fourth in state competition (Missouri) and won all conference awards…During his sophomore year he came second in state competition, as well as being in the top eight in 100 butterfly and backstroke and 50 freestyle, also earning All American, All State and All Conference awards  and becoming the school record holder…During his junior year he was first in state in 100 backstroke and butterfly and 50 freestyle, also earning All American, All State and All Conference awards and becoming the school record holder…During his senior year he again was first in state in 100 backstroke and butterfly and 50 freestyle, also earning All American, All State and All Conference awards and becoming the school record holder.
