Biography

At Missouri State: Jen Carr returns for her fourth season as the Bears' primary starting catcher with the second-highest career fielding percentage (.997) in Missouri State history.

2008: Carr started 32 games behind the plate and appeared in 45 games overall ... committed just one error in 312 total chances and threw out 32.1 percent of would-be base-stealers ... registered a three-game hit streak (3/29 through 4/2).

2007: Carr was perfect behind the plate with a 1.000 fielding percentage, tying 10 others in the MSU record book. She appeared in 29 games, 27 of which were starts, and recorded 158 putouts.

2006: Carr started 35 games behind the plate and appeared in six more, committing only one error in 190 chances for a .995 fielding percentage. She gunned down five runners on steal attempts and added 14 assists. In 18 at-bats, Carr had three hits, including a double and three walks.

Background: Carr joined the Bears from South Torrance High School in California, where she held the highest batting average in the Ocean League Conference at .575 her junior season. Carr led her team to the conference championship in her junior campaign with a 8-2 record and was named All-Ocean League Most Outstanding Player.

Personal: Jennifer Lynn Carr is the daughter of Rick and Jodie Carr. She was born January 18, 1987, in Torrance, Calif. She is a political science major.
