Eric Shaffer joins the Bears after transferring from the University of Hawaii where he spent his freshman year as a redshirt wide receiver. Upon Graduation in 2006, Shaffer earned a football scholarship to Hawaii after a stellar prep career with Shiloh Christian in Springdale, Ark. Shaffer was a three year letter-winner in track and football for the Saints, winning the state 100-meter dash title (10.71) in 2006. He was named first team all-conference, honorable mention all-state as a senior and a top 21 Arkansas in-state player. He was also selected to the Max Emfinger all-American team and the corresponding all-star game. Eric W. Shaffer was born on 4/23/88 in Fayetteville, Ark., the son of Larry Shaffer and Candace Huff ..... Eric is undecided on his major at MSU.
