Chase Mejia was the starting receiver, defensive back and kick returner at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Mo. His senior season for coach A.J. Ofadile, earning all-state honors after collecting 50 catches for 600 yards and six touchdowns in just eight games. He played three seasons at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Kansas where he was state special teams player of the year and found a place in the Sports Illustrated Faces in the Crowd feature. He also played three seasons of varsity basketball at SMNW. Graduated early from Rock Bridge and signed with Northern Illinois University where he played spring ball in 2008 before transferring to Missouri State. Chase Michael Mejia was born Nov. 4, 1989 in Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Jerod Mejia. He is undecided on his academic major at MSU.
