2012: Peebles saw action in 23 games, including 13 starts, in his first year as a Bear...Started six of the Bears[apos] first seven games as DH...Went 1-for-4 with a walk in his MSU debut vs. Tennessee Tech (Feb. 17)...Was 1-for-3 with a pair of walks and a run scored the following day in the Bears[apos] first win of the season against Tennessee Tech...Drove in his first run Feb. 24 vs. Stephen F. Austin...Doubled for the first time as a Bear against Purdue (March 13)...Walked four times in six plate appearances, scoring twice in the Bears[apos] three-game sweep of Creighton (March 23-25)...Reached base safely in 13 of his 19 games...Doubled, walked and drove in a run in the Bears[apos] 9-8 win over Kansas (March 27)...Registered a pinch-hit, RBI single May 4 vs. Air Force...Hit .331 with 17 RBIs over 37 games during his second summer stint with Sedalia.

Background: Peebles helped Crowder College to an appearance in the JUCO World Series in 2010, hitting .474 with nine doubles, six homers, 49 RBIs and 24 runs scored in 38 games...Homered twice and hit .600 with six RBIs in the World Series...Batted .288 with 13 RBIs and 23 runs scored in limited action as a sophomore in 2011...Starred in baseball and basketball at Clever (Mo.)
