SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State STUNT (8-6) will travel to Martin, Tenn. on Saturday, March 14 to compete against Northern Kentucky, host UT Martin, and Maryville in a two-day, four-game slate.

"We are excited to get our levels on the floor this weekend in Martin. We have made adjustments to some of our lower levels that we think are going to help with the overall execution of the routines. We have also worked on cleaning and drilling a couple of levels that we haven't had the chance to compete with this season, so we are hoping to be able to get those on the floor and gain some confidence in those levels as we head into the second half of the season," stated head coach Kennedy Wingbermuehle.

  • 11:15 a.m. vs. Northern Kentucky (2-8)
  • 2:00 p.m. at UT Martin (6-0)

Sunday, March 15

  • 2:00 p.m. vs. Northern Kentucky (2-8)

Head Coach Kennedy Wingbermuehle
Kennedy Wingbermuehle was named as the inaugural head coach for Missouri State's new STUNT team on Feb. 27, 2024.

Wingbermuehle oversaw Missouri State STUNT's inaugural season in 2025, where the Bears competed at the Division I level. She guided Missouri State to its first-ever STUNT win on Feb. 15, 2025, over Drury in a tournament hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University.

MoState went 9-18 in its first year in STUNT, including going 3-5 in the regular season in Mid America West Conference play. The Bears defeated previous 2024 NCAA Tournament team Central Arkansas to advance to day two of the Mid America West Conference Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky. Wingbermuehle also helped Missouri State flyer/tumbler/top Peighton Powell to be named to the All Mid America West Tournament Second Team in 2025, the first all-tournament honor in program history.

STUNT Bears

  • In their inaugural season in 2025, Bears STUNT amassed a 9-18 record overall with a 3-5 record in conference competition.
  • STUNT has officially been approved as an NCAA championship sport following a vote by NCAA membership at the 2026 NCAA Convention, marking a major milestone for Missouri State STUNT and women's collegiate athletics nationwide. The first NCAA STUNT championship is projected for spring 2027 and will feature a National Collegiate Championship in which student-athletes from all three divisions compete for a single national title.
  • Collegiate STUNT is divided between the Division I, II, III, NAIA and Club levels.

Scouting the Competition/Series History

  • Missouri State STUNT opens the weekend slate against Northern Kentucky, who the Bears hold a 2-0 series history record against. Missouri State won both games against the Norse last year without conceding a point. On the 3/15/25 the Bears won 22-0, and on 3/28/25 the Bears won with a 21-0 scoreline.
  • The Bears will then take on UT Martin, who the Bears have a 0-1 record against. Last year on 3/16/25 the Skyhawks were victorious with a fiercely contested 15-12 scoreline.
  • Missouri State then tackles Maryville, who the Bears also have a 0-1 record against. Last year on 3/7/25 the Saints took the win with a 21-6 scoreline.

Mid America West Conference

  • Missouri State STUNT competes in the Mid America West Conference, a Division I STUNT conference that consists of Central Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri State, Mercyhurst, Northern Kentucky, and UT Martin.
