Missouri State enters the third and final day of the Bearcat Invitational in second place with 44 points. Pittsburg State, the reigning DII national outdoor track and field champions, lead the Bears by one point with a score of 45.

"It was a very productive day for us starting with Kamdyn's win in the heptathlon and ending with Tabi's win in the 5k," head coach Jordan Fife said. "Both were massive lifetime bests. The message was to not look at this meet as low key or just an opener, but a really good opportunity to improve and the team did just that. I'm looking forward to a lot more big performances tomorrow."

Field events will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the long jump and track events at 11:45 a.m. with the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
