Track and Field Bears End the Day with Season Best Relay
February 21, 2025 | Women's Track & Field
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Missouri State track and field finished out the Arkansas Qualifier with a trio of personal records and a season-best 4x400-meter relay performance on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.
Â
The 4x400-meter relay team of Whitney Farrington, Meghan Halstead, Victory Ifah and BreAna Garrett ran the race in 3:46.02 for a season best by almost three seconds exactly. MoState placed third in the event. The previous season best was set at second meet of the indoor season at Missouri.
Â
Halstead also recorded a personal record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.94 and a 23rd place finish.
Â
Sophomore Ella Cronhardt shaved approximately two seconds off her personal record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:10.69 and a 15th place finish. Cronhardt's old PR did not stand long, as the Lee's Summit, Mo. native set the record last week at the Gorilla Classic before breaking it at Arkansas.
Â
Kamdyn Moody also finished 15th in the long jump with her personal record attempt of 5.33 meters or approximately 17.5 feet.
Â
"Today was a good tune-up for conference and a strong end of the season for some others," head coach Jordan Fife said. "Ella had a really nice run in the 800-meter, and it was nice to run a big season best in the 4x400-meter to close out the meet."
Â
Missouri State will embark on its final Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championship on Sunday, March 2 and Monday, March 3 in Chicago.
