Track and Field Bears Head Back to Pittsburg State

Keeping Track of the Bears

The Missouri State Track and Field team is heading back to Pittsburg State for the second time this season. The Bears will compete in the Pittsburg State Invitational on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Live timing will be available, and the meet will be shown on the MIAA Network.
Once again, the Bears will be sending 33 athletes to compete in the meet.
MoState will compete in jumping, sprinting, distance and relay events. There are no Bears currently scheduled to compete in throwing events.
Last weekend, the Bears placed fifth out of 22 teams at the Washburn Rust Buster.
Fourteen Bears set new personal records at that meet and 18 placed within the top-10 of their events. Six of those 18 were top-5 finishes.
Senior distance runner Mia McLain won the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:09.57. She beat 56 other runners.
Three Bears recorded second place finishes at Washburn. Mary Margaret Harris placed second in the mile run with a time of 5:05.89, DaeLin Switzer placed second in the high jump invite with an attempt of 1.68 meters and Kamdyn Moody placed second in the high jump open with an attempt of 1.55 meters.
