Bears Splashes (Women)
- Missouri State women's swimming & diving is fresh off a fourth-place finish among an eight-team field in the Purdue Invitational, scoring 351 points. The Bears finished ahead of fellow Missouri Valley Conference opponents Southern Illinois (6th, 251 points) and Indiana State (7th, 242.5 points).
- Caitlyn Friebe has won two MVC Freshman of the Week Awards, each coming in Missouri State's last two competitions. She earned her first nod after winning the 100-yard backstroke (54.48) against Arkansas on November 4. She won the award again on November 22 following personal-best performances in the 50-yard freestyle (23.17) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.64).Â
- Senior Lily DeSpain also won MVC Swimmer of the Week on November 8 by setting the first sub-five minute mark in the 500-yard freestyle (4:58.63). At the Purdue Invitational, DeSpain reclaimed her spot at the top of the conference with an MVC-best time of 4:53.42 in the 500-free, a marker that still stands entering the weekend.
- Senior Jordan Wenner finished second in the A Final of the 100-yard freestyle at the Purdue Invitational with an MVC-season best time of 49.64. Her 50.03 time in the 100-free prelim also sits third on the MVC leaderboard.
- Senior Samantha Roemer earned the fastest overall time in the 100-yard butterfly in the Purdue Invitational with a 54.16 in the prelims. She finished third in the A final with a time of 54.29. Her results in the 100-fly at Purdue are the third and fourth-best times across the conference this season, respectively.
Bears Splashes (Men)
- Missouri State men's swimming & diving also finished fourth in the Purdue Invitational among the five men's teams that competed, scoring 380. The Bears outscored fellow Mid-American Conference competitor Southern Illinois, which finished fifth with 249 points.
- A few Bears set pool records in the last meet at Hammons Student Center Pool during an intrasquad meet on November 4. Senior Dylan Moffatt took the pool record in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:13.95), beating the previous record held by former Bear Uvis Kalnins since setting it in 2013 against Missouri.
- Senior Robert Hill also took a pool record during the intrasquad meet in the 100-yard back (47.73), also supplanting a decade-old record held by former Bear Paul Le. Hill leads all Bears with five individual wins against opponents this season.
- Junior Reese Hodgins owns the fastest MAC time this season in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:38.22, good enough to win the B Final at the Purdue Invitational. Hodgins also secured a lifetime best in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:33.10 to come away with 18th at the Purdue Invitational.
- Senior Austin Huskey took the second-fastest MAC time this season with a 1:50.38 in the 200-yard IM. He also earned the third-fastest MAC time this season in the 400 IM with a 3:59.26 to give him the win in the B Final at the Purdue Invitational. Thanks to his 200-yard butterfly prelim time of 1:48.62 and finals time of 1:48.13 at Purdue, Husky also holds two of the top four MAC times in the event this season. He also earned the third-fastest MAC time this season in the 400 IM with a 3:59.26.
