BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Missouri State track and field's Madison Meredith wrapped up her indoor campaign here Friday evening, racing in the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

After winning her second-straight Missouri Valley Conference championship title in the event on Feb. 28,  the senior sprinter recorded a time of 7.31 seconds on Friday night to place 15th in a highly competitive field and wrap up her Missouri State career.

"We're so proud of Madi and what she's accomplished here but more importantly how she's grown and the person and teammate she's become," said head coach Jordan Fife. "She has represented Missouri State at the highest level of our sport in such an amazing way and we hope it opens the door to more high level performances for our program."

Meredith experienced countless successes during the 2022 indoor season, earning six individual event titles over the course of six meets. The Detroit, Mich., native also broke the MSU record in the 60-meter three times enroute to the championships, becoming the first MSU athlete to qualify since 2013.

"Madi qualifying for NCAA indoor nationals was a huge feat and an amazing way to finish off her career as a Bear," said assistant track coach Taryn Smiley. "We are extremely proud of how she represented MSU on the big stage and throughout her entire time here."

The rest of the MSU track and field squad will be back in action for the start of outdoor season on Friday, March 25, when the Bears compete at the Billiken Invitational hosted by Saint Louis University.
