SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State track and field returns home Friday, April 17, to host the Mo State Invitational, its only home meet of the 2026 outdoor season.
The meet will feature both men's and women's competition and includes teams from Southwest Baptist, Evangel, Central Methodist, Drury and College of the Ozarks. Friday's meet will also serve as Senior Day for the Bears.
Keeping Track of the Bears
• Missouri State enters its home meet after a productive split weekend at the UCM Mule Relays and Arkansas Spring Invitational, where the Bears posted an event win, runner-up finishes and a long list of personal bests across the track and field events.
•
Mary Margaret Harris highlighted the weekend with a victory in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Mule Relays, crossing first in a personal-best 10:46.56. The Bears also showed strong depth in the event, with
Adrien Martens placing third in 11:01.31,
Ella Rew taking fourth in a personal-best 11:03.54 and
Emily Nuttall finishing fifth in 11:09.47.
• Missouri State added another strong showing in the distance events at Warrensburg, led by
Riley Bryan's runner-up finish in the 10,000-meter run at 37:05.16.
Addysen Clark followed in fourth with a personal-best 37:10.11, while
Madilyn Moore turned in a personal-best 17:28.83 in the 5,000-meter run.
• The Bears' sprint group continued its strong outdoor campaign in Fayetteville.
Olivia Rogers led the way with a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 23.74 and also placed eighth in the 100-meter dash in 11.60.
Kayleigh Jenkins posted a personal-best 11.62 in the 100, while
Delaney Weimer added personal bests in both the 100 at 11.65 and the 200 at 24.23.
• Missouri State saw impressive depth in the 200-meter dash, where
Rakiya Lang recorded a personal-best 24.47,
Brianna Howard posted a personal-best 24.65,
Alyssa Ball added a personal-best 24.83 and
Shackera Douglas notched a personal-best 24.97.
• In the 400-meter dash,
Claire Farrell led the Bears with a 55.19, while
Raegan Foster and
Jordyn Buckley each recorded personal bests at 56.01 and 56.33, respectively.
BreAna Garrett added a runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles, taking second in 1:01.66.
• Missouri State also turned in a strong showing in the middle-distance events at Arkansas.
Ella Cronhardt placed second in the invitational section of the 1,500-meter run with a 4:30.04, while Harris added a sixth-place finish in 4:34.50.
Adrien Martens and
Madilyn Moore each posted personal bests in the open 1,500, finishing in 4:45.02 and 4:45.84, respectively.
• In the field events,
Shiloh Cross led the way with a third-place finish in the triple jump at 12.04 meters. Brooklyn O'Cain added an eighth-place finish in the javelin at 37.63 meters, while
Mirabella Redman posted a mark of 5.23 meters in the long jump and also competed in the 400-meter hurdles.
