• MSU's 13-straight MVC victories is the longest active conference win streak in the nation.
• The Bears defense has been impressive this season ranking second in the NCAA in shutout percentage (.700) tied for 17th in team GAA (.700).
• Dating back to 2019, MSU has only lost two regular-season road matches. The Bears sported a 5-1 away record during the 2021 season, a 5-0 record during the 2020 season, an 8-1-1 record during the 2019 season and are currently 1-0 in road contests this year.
• MSU and UIC have faced off twice in the school's history, with both ending in favor of the Bears. The team's most recent match was a 2007, 2-1 victory for MSU.
• The Bears have produced an active offensive effort this season that ranks 15th in the nation for scoring offense, averaging 2.50 goals per game. Last season, the Bears averaged 2.05 goals per game while in 2020 the team averaged 1.86 per match.
• Along with four other DI players, goalkeeper Harry Townsend is tied for third in the nation for shutouts with seven over 10 matches.
• The Bears lead the MVC in points (78), goals (25), assists (28), shots (176), shots on goal (79) and are tied for allowing the second-fewest goals in the MVC.
• Through 10 matches, Nicolo Mulatero leads the MVC in points (15), scoring six goals while tallying three assists.
• Lewis Green has earned weekly conference honors for two-straight weeks. The senior has scored goals in four of the Bears' last five games and accounted for part of a stout back line that's shutout three-straight opponents.
Scoring Breakdown
• MSU holds four of the top-10 spots for goals scored in the MVC. Nicolo Mulatero (2nd), Lewis Green (3rd), Aadne Bruseth (7th) and Jesus Barea (8th) have all helped the Bears' scoring efforts this season.
• Three Bears have recorded two-plus goal games this season. Nicolo Mulatero has two, coming against UC Irvine and Bradley, while Jesus Barea and Lewis Green's multi-goal outings were against CSUN and Evansville, respectively.
• The Bears lead the MVC with 25 goals this season. Evansville is second in the conference with 16.
• MSU is even-keeled in its goal-scoring efforts, netting 12 in the first half while 13 have come in the final 45 minutes of regulation.
