COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Missouri State track and field's
Madison Meredith continued her remarkable spring season and advanced in one of her two events Thursday night at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Round.
Â
Meredith surged out to a personal-record time of 11.42 seconds in the 100-meter dash and finished four milliseconds ahead of Texas A&M's Zhane Smith to secure the final spot for Saturday's quarterfinal round.
Â
"Madi (Meredith) ran an excellent 100m race to make it to the next round on Saturday," said head coach
